Who Is Responsible for a Traffic Challan?
The customer riding the vehicle is responsible for any traffic violations committed during the rental period. This includes challans issued for offences such as:
- Over-speeding
- No parking violations
- Riding without a helmet
- Dangerous or reckless riding
- Wrong-side driving
- Signal violations
- Any other offence under applicable traffic laws
Following traffic rules not only helps avoid penalties but also ensures your safety and the safety of others on the road.
How Are Traffic Challans Handled?
If a challan is issued during your rental: inform our team if you're aware of the violation. The challan amount must be paid by the customer. If the challan is pending at the time of vehicle return, the amount may be adjusted during the final settlement or recovered from the refundable security deposit where applicable.
What About E-Challans?
Some traffic violations are recorded electronically and may not be available immediately. If an e-challan relating to your rental is received after the vehicle has been returned, the customer remains responsible for clearing that challan. Our team may contact you if any pending challan is received after your rental period.
Ride Responsibly
To avoid traffic penalties:
- Always wear your helmet.
- Ensure your pillion rider also wears a helmet.
- Carry your Driving Licence.
- Obey speed limits.
- Follow traffic signals.
- Park only in permitted areas.
