Why Is a Security Deposit Required?
A security deposit is collected to protect both the customer and the rental company during the rental period. It is not an extra rental charge and is not a hidden fee. It simply acts as a refundable amount that helps cover any outstanding liabilities that may arise during the rental. Once the rental is completed and there are no pending charges, the remaining deposit is refunded.
When Can Deductions Be Made?
The security deposit may be adjusted only if applicable under the rental agreement. Examples include:
- Fuel returned below the agreed level
- Vehicle damage caused during the rental
- Lost helmet
- Lost key
- Traffic challans
- Unpaid rental extension charges
- Other customer liabilities arising during the rental period
Any deductions are explained clearly during the final settlement.
How Is the Deposit Refunded?
After the vehicle is returned, our team completes the final inspection and settlement. If no deductions apply, the full security deposit is refunded. If deductions are necessary, only the applicable amount is adjusted, and the remaining balance is refunded. Our goal is to keep the settlement process transparent and hassle-free.
Can the Security Deposit Be Reduced?
In special cases, the security deposit may be reduced or waived only with approval from the Owner or General Manager. This decision depends on the customer's profile and rental circumstances. Regular staff members cannot reduce or waive the deposit.
